EFT Volcano Technique

Backnext0

The Volcano Technique is perhaps a little controversial within EFT. The idea here goes against much of EFT’s softly softly approach. Instead of treating the client very gently they should be provoked to make their emotions come rapidly to the surface.

The reasoning behind this approach is to get quickly to the underlying problem. By pushing the issues the core of the problem comes out can be treated without having to go through so many layers.

While this does work it is not without its cautions. You must know how to gauge your client to avoid a too strong a reaction that they either can’t cope or are no longer willing to work with you. Apart from speeding the process of reaching the core issue there is little benefit to this approach. Often EFT therapists will try to get the client ‘emotionally intense again, this however is after they have cleared the presenting problem first.

This EFT oriented website is provided as a public courtesy to help expand the use of EFT in the world.
While Gary Craig and EFT encourage such efforts, they cannot evaluate or endorse the multitudes of sites that exist.
Thus this website represents in good faith the ideas of its founders but not necessarily those of Gary Craig or EFT.
