Applying the tapping technique in combination with the set up phrase enabled me to work on issues I carried around for so long and clear them in my case harmoniously and effectively.
The amazing journey of EFT starts with working on one problem, which concerns you the most at the moment (i.e. physical pain, emotional issues, and problems in general). But as soon as you start with the EFT procedure, another, deeper lying issue appears underneath the one you are focusing on. It signals a connection to your momentary issue and you will become more and more aware of the whole picture during rounds. It happened at one round that I started with a SUD level of 5, which described my concerns (fear) about an unpredictable future (Though I knew my concerns about the future, I felt relaxed and comfy at the beginning). After the first round it rose up to an intensity of 8, with a complete different emotional feeling behind it. I now felt anger occurring and a strong visualisation appeared in my mind at the same time. I saw a grey, cold concrete dam blocking a big river. We went on with tapping organically by changing the set up phrase we started with to “Even though there is this big grey dam…” The SUD went down to a 7 after this round and I still felt the anger. We continued to tap and my partner intuitively wove new phrases into the tapping-repeat phrase-process, which dealt with solving and breaking the dam down to let the water run free. The intuitive reaction of my therapist partner worked out fine for me. I felt relieved afterwards and saw the water going back into its natural meandered flow. Trying to explain my experience, I see that the fear of future, we began with, was the same fear that built up the dam. I see the whole process as a symbol – the fear of unpredictable (incontrollable) life force, symbolized by the dam and the life force angry of the dam, symbolized by blocked water).
Here lies the interesting and fascinating aspect of EFT, which in itself seems so simple to understand and put into practice. It is a tool of consciousness, which takes you deeper and deeper to your core level of emotional and mental blockades. Working on the physical, emotional and mental level through tapping and focusing your mind on the problem, creates a distant point of view to your actual self-situation. You start to see yourself as a projection of something, that you can’t and don’t need to grasp or understand in this very moment of the process. “You” – sitting there and tapping on the spots, repeating your special phrase, committed and hard in the belief of relief, cure and help – start to become ‘one’ – one focus of pure attention. The attention is what one can call consciousness or absolute awareness. The change or healing thereby is made consciously through yourself. You heal yourself. You make the decision to change your outcome of experience, including the point in life you find yourself at the moment.
Another beautiful thing about the simplicity of EFT is, to apply it during breaks when you work, before you go to bed or start the day. It doesn’t take long to create a wonderful, warm and cosy mind and physical set to embrace the day. Being an observer of your life that is given to you every day makes you feel peaceful and creative. A “Problem” itself shifts into an opportunity and becomes your joy of creativity (Problem=Creativity).
I feel that my experience with EFT re-connects to my natural intuition and happiness, which were blocked by old belief patterns. EFT can help to reawaken and revive your self-consciousness.
I’m starting to accept and love myself on a deeper level now. EFT means for me Explore your Freedom Technique. If you have decided with courage and curiosity to explore your emotions and want to take this trip, EFT guarantees you the roller coaster ride, the wild life safari, the mountain climb, the free jump into the descent. It shows you that most of the time we are afraid of and held back by our own fears.
Thanks EFT, for being a great help in my life.
