Movement Is The Key To Your Health

November 27th, 2007 No comments

I was talking to a friend the other day who summed up what he thought was the purpose of life for him – circulation. Everything must move to stay healthy. Physically, mentally, emotionally, financially and spiritually. Without constant circulation, energy in any form stagnates and disease is often the result.

Today’s simple observation is that if you want to restore health to a specific area of your life then look at what may be blocked.  Look for where you can stimulate movement. EFT certainly achieves this from a mental/emotional perspective and is a great tool to use to create movement in these areas.

Enjoy EFT!

What Is Your Intention With EFT?

November 25th, 2007 1 comment

Over the weekend I was referred to a client who thought he wanted to stop smoking. I soon found out it was more pressure from his family to give up.  This was the reason why he was seeing me – it was not his idea.  This highlighted an interesting point for me.

You have to want the results for yourself – not for your wife, or children or what ‘society’ deems you must. EFT has limited results when your heart is not really in it.

Do not beat yourself up if you are feeling pressure to change something but find yourself resisting. Your ‘problems’ may be serving you at the moment. Be kind to yourself & when YOU feel you want to change something, then use EFT wholeheartedly!

My First EFT Experience

November 20th, 2007 No comments

By Steffen Latta, Matakana, New Zealand

Applying the tapping technique in combination with the set up phrase enabled me to work on issues I carried around for so long and clear them in my case harmoniously and effectively.

The amazing journey of EFT starts with working on one problem, which concerns you the most at the moment (i.e. physical pain, emotional issues, and problems in general). But as soon as you start with the EFT procedure, another, deeper lying issue appears underneath the one you are focusing on. It signals a connection to your momentary issue and you will become more and more aware of the whole picture during rounds. It happened at one round that I started with a SUD level of 5, which described my concerns (fear) about an unpredictable future (Though I knew my concerns about the future, I felt relaxed and comfy at the beginning). After the first round it rose up to an intensity of 8, with a complete different emotional feeling behind it. I now felt anger occurring and a strong visualisation appeared in my mind at the same time. I saw a grey, cold concrete dam blocking a big river. We went on with tapping organically by changing the set up phrase we started with to “Even though there is this big grey dam…” The SUD went down to a 7 after this round and I still felt the anger. We continued to tap and my partner intuitively wove new phrases into the tapping-repeat phrase-process, which dealt with solving and breaking the dam down to let the water run free. The intuitive reaction of my therapist partner worked out fine for me. I felt relieved afterwards and saw the water going back into its natural meandered flow. Trying to explain my experience, I see that the fear of future, we began with, was the same fear that built up the dam. I see the whole process as a symbol – the fear of unpredictable (incontrollable) life force, symbolized by the dam and the life force angry of the dam, symbolized by blocked water).

Here lies the interesting and fascinating aspect of EFT, which in itself seems so simple to understand and put into practice. It is a tool of consciousness, which takes you deeper and deeper to your core level of emotional and mental blockades. Working on the physical, emotional and mental level through tapping and focusing your mind on the problem, creates a distant point of view to your actual self-situation. You start to see yourself as a projection of something, that you can’t and don’t need to grasp or understand in this very moment of the process. “You” – sitting there and tapping on the spots, repeating your special phrase, committed and hard in the belief of relief, cure and help – start to become ‘one’ – one focus of pure attention. The attention is what one can call consciousness or absolute awareness. The change or healing thereby is made consciously through yourself. You heal yourself. You make the decision to change your outcome of experience, including the point in life you find yourself at the moment.

Another beautiful thing about the simplicity of EFT is, to apply it during breaks when you work, before you go to bed or start the day. It doesn’t take long to create a wonderful, warm and cosy mind and physical set to embrace the day. Being an observer of your life that is given to you every day makes you feel peaceful and creative. A “Problem” itself shifts into an opportunity and becomes your joy of creativity (Problem=Creativity).

I feel that my experience with EFT re-connects to my natural intuition and happiness, which were blocked by old belief patterns. EFT can help to reawaken and revive your self-consciousness.

I’m starting to accept and love myself on a deeper level now. EFT means for me  Explore your Freedom Technique. If you have decided with courage and curiosity to explore your emotions and want to take this trip, EFT guarantees you the roller coaster ride, the wild life safari, the mountain climb, the free jump into the descent. It shows you that most of the time we are afraid of and held back by our own fears.

Thanks EFT, for being a great help in my life.

EFT Is Great With ANY Other Self-Help Method

November 19th, 2007 No comments

Although it has been 8 years since I was first exposed to EFT, I am today still amazed at its flexibility. I am pro any method that works for you. Any method that gives you results, keep employing it. It would be limiting to suggest EFT is the cure-all for EVERY problem.

I like that EFT can be used in conjuction with any other self-help method. Even if you are reading a self-help book – you can reap full beniefits by tapping on limiting beliefs as they arise whilst you are reading.

Enjoy EFT!

Does EFT Make Your Problems Worse?

November 18th, 2007 No comments

You may have been wondering if EFT is making your limiting beliefs escalate. Many people are aware what they focus on creates their reality. With EFT you are not ‘hunting‘ for limiting beliefs. If you go out ‘looking‘ and expecting problems you will no doubt find many! When limiting beliefs come into your awareness, use EFT as a tool to dissolve them.

Once you begin EFT any further limiting beliefs will present themselves to you. You do not need to be aware of all limiting beliefs to dissolve them.

Perhaps tapping on a core limiting belief will eradicate many more in one hit. Or perhaps other limiting beliefs may by hiding under other limiting beliefs, which will only be uncovered once the suface limiting belief is cleared first.

Enjoy EFT!

EFT & Forgiveness

November 16th, 2007 No comments

Sometimes EFT is more effective once oudated beliefs are set free. By outdated I mean beliefs that no longer serve you. Beliefs which may have served you previously but no longer have any benefit now & most probably hinder you.

You may be unaware of beliefs you currently have that may be holding you back. I like Catherine Ponder’s simple & effeictive method of releasing outdated beliefs & feelings through forgiveness. Her technique brings to your awareness emotions you never knew you held.

Catherine advises taking time to sit quietly & think about any person or situation that is bothering you. Then declare silently “I fully & freely forgive you“. You then in turn can declare, “I fully & freely forgive myself“. If you haven’t already tried this powerful & instant technique, please do. You will be pleasantly surprised by its effectiveness & peace you feel…..

Enjoy EFT!

EFT & “starting where you are”

November 14th, 2007 No comments

Personally I have struggled in the past with procrastination. Underlying this was the need for something to be perfect before I could do what I needed to do. The result was nothing seemed to meet my high standards, thus the task was further put aside.

I like EFT in that you can start wherever you are. Whatever situation you are in, simply begin where you are presently. You may think it ‘messy’ to dive in & start in the seeming middle – but this is often a good way. There is no need to know how a root belief originated to dissolve it. Often it will present itself in the course of your tapping.

Enjoy EFT!
