Success & Abundance: Removing Resentment
If we are jealous of, or resent others for having what we want then our subconscious will try to protect us from becoming like that person. We need to become happy for other people who are already living the life we wish for, though this can be easier said than done.
Try to think of all the people you resent for having money or expensive cars,
houses, boats etc. Think of all the people you resent for having the perfect
job, life-style or relationship that you desire. List them all below and give each a rating from 0-10 scaling your level of resentment. Really tune into your feelings and be honest with yourself. You will fool no one except yourself if you skip this section and say ‘it does not apply to me’ just because resentment is seen as a ‘bad’ quality. Here are some examples to get you started:
I hate Bill Gates for owning so much money
I am jealous of people who own my favourite car
I resent barristers for making so much money per hour
I think it is wrong for people to earn over £50 000 per year
I hate people who are enjoying life and not working hard
I am jealous of my boss because he has the job I want
I don’t like the fact my friend has a better computer/car/house than me
Once you have your list, create setup phrases for each and tap for each until
the ‘resentment rating’ reaches 0 for every one. Keep expanding your list as
new ideas come to mind and tap those clear too. You may choose to add a positive way of viewing each person’s prosperity. So for the example setup phrase of:
‘Even though I think it’s wrong for people to earn over £50 000 per year, I
deeply and completely accept myself’
The positive choice phrase might become:
‘Even though I thought it was wrong for people to earn so much money, I
accept myself and I choose to see the universe is infinitely abundant and
there is enough for everybody to have what he or she chooses’

This section is devoted to your questions. I will do my best to answer them or find an answer to them. If you can expand on a reply to any question posted here please send it to me and I will print it with full acknowledgement.
Q) How can I treat clients over the phone?
A) One of EFT's greatest advantages is you can treat a client anywhere in the world over the phone. It is however not without its complications when you first start. If you are new to EFT it is advisable to wait until you have a mastered EFT before treating clients professionally in this way. There is no reason though why you should not experiment with friends and family or at least try in an emergency.
There are only two real major differences between a telephone session and a normal face to face session. The first is you cannot demonstrate the points and the second is you cannot get visual feedback from the client in regards to their progress.
The first point is not such a problem if the client is familiar to EFT, they should already know each point. Explaining to a new client can be a bit tricky and time consuming and it is often interesting when later checked exactly where they interpreted even the best description. An easier way is to fax, post or email a chart of the points. There are many around of which my introductory manual contains just one. You are always welcome to print this for free and send it or have your client download it before the session.
As for the lack of visual feedback you have to learn to become more sensitive to the tone of voice. Developing a good sense of intuition also helps. Working with telephone clients is easy to learn and a great way to help those you can't reach as well as expanding your client base.

Hints & Tips
This months tip is to change the tense pf the setup phrase and reminder phrases as you go through the rounds. Start by stating the problem in the present tense, 'Even though I have this problem.....'.
The next round should be 'This remaining problem', suggesting to the subconscious that the problem is going. Once you reach low SUD's ratings such as 1 or 2 I often change this to 'Even though I had this problem.......' This is a great place to introduce a new choice (if your using the choices method) to replace the gap. '

Book Of The Month
This has nothing to do with EFT directly and yet everything to do with getting well and helping clients. I went to see Doris Rapp talk at the Toronto Conference and her insights are truly amazing and are all covered in this book. A must for anyone with chronic health issues, allergies & sensitivities or for every therapist with such clients.
While she offers practical solutions in her book she now advocates the use of EFT. Excellent value and truly deserving of book of the month.
