Feeling deprived is another common feeling, when not inhaling poisonous smoke. Somehow you think you are depriving yourself or going without. You don't inhale agent orange every day either, but I doubt you feel you are missing out. By smoking you do deprive yourself of fresh air, increased vitality, health and a more genuine enjoyment of life (not to mention the money spent on it).
You also deprive yourself of the freedom, from not being a slave to the nicotine cycle. Many smokers use a cigarette as a treat, again no one in their right mind chooses a slow suicide as a reward for themselves. I don't want you to feel you are losing out in any way so.....
'Even though I feel deprived by not being able to smoke, I love and accept myself anyway'
'Even though I feel I will be going without if I don't smoke, I love and respect myself enough to see the truth and release my feelings of depravation'
'Even though if I stop smoking I feel I will be losing my best friend (it has become such a part of who I am), I still love and respect myself and choose to embrace the freedom'
Work through these different aspects and add your own or change them as necessary. It is important you keep tapping until you really feel and believe you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. There is no being deprived when you quit smoking! |
