Smoking Is Enjoyable
BackNext

If smoking was a truly enjoyable experience, then why do so few enjoy their first cigarette? The truth is, the body rejects it for the poison it is. Only the subconscious mind is tricked into connecting pleasure, with the reduction in the feelings of fear. Remember the 'pleasure' is artificially induced by the cigarette itself 30 minutes or so after smoking.

Your mind begins to learn to enjoy it. Partly as a justification for smoking, and partly the subconscious association with the mistaken relief of the fear and anxiety. Thankfully EFT easily breaks this false illusion of enjoyment, making it easy to stop. Interestingly, you can get someone to stop enjoying smoking and yet they still 'want' to smoke. The same people in fact, that usually say they only smoke because they enjoy it.

By removing these illusions with EFT the real reasons become clearer. Fear and anxiety. While tapping on the following statements, hold and look at a cigarette while imagining how enjoyable it would be to smoke it.

'Even though I really enjoy smoking, the beautiful taste of these poisons entering my body, the lush smell of toxic fumes and the false sense of security it brings, I still love and accept myself'

'Even though I love killing myself slowly and would prefer to continue enjoying the illusion that I enjoy inhaling noxious gas rather than fresh air, I deeply and completely love and respect myself, seeing the truth and allowing my body to remember the true taste, smell and affects of smoking'
