Asking the right questions
Part 4 of 7 – Asking the right questions
Ignorance is no excuse to the law. That includes the laws of the universe. If you do not know something, make the effort to find out. You are not expected to know everything before you start out, only enough to get started. The rest you can learn along the way. Even a doctor does not need to know everything (and probably never will) before going into practice. However they have studied sufficiently to begin.
What do you think you need to know to achieve your goal? Make a plan of where you can discover that knowledge. Perhaps you need to do some research on the internet, maybe take a trip to the library or buy some new books. You may need to take a short course or attend some workshops. You may even need to go back to university and spend several years taking a degree. It all depends on what you need to learn and what you want to achieve.
Would you like to know an easy way to gain knowledge? Hire it. Henry Ford was once accused of being stupid. It was said he did not know anything about cars. He, to a greater extent, agreed. However he said that he could find out anything he needed at a moments notice. With the press of a button he could speak to the head engineer, designer, production manager, administration department etc, and get the answer to anything he needed.
However many of us go through life trying to be an expert in everything, or not doing anything because we don’t know how? Too many of us! Many things of major significance that have been accomplished started off as the dream of one or two people. However to realize this goal required the cooperation and expertise of many. Do not be afraid to ask for help! Perhaps one of the biggest sins of the education system has been to teach children that it is not OK to ask for the answer.
There are many freelance sites available online now. These will enable you to outsource work quickly, and often cheaply. By hiring the help you need (when you need it) you will accomplish a great deal. There are limits to how much one person can achieve. Look through your goals to identify what help you need to help achieve your goals, then go and find it. This may seem obvious, yet it is often the obvious that people fail to do.
Here is an ugly trait we have as humans. We are often reluctant to hear the answers even when we have asked the question! Often the answer is staring us right in the face, but we do not want to hear it so we keep on looking. This is especially true when the answer involves us facing our fears (which it so often does).
“He who asks a question is but stupid for a minute, he who does not ask
the question at all remains stupid for life” – Chinese proverb
Asking the right questions is essential to success. The reason most people do not achieve their goals is because they never really try to find out how to. It is true you don’t need to know the path before you depart. You do need to at least look for it along the way. Here is the tip of the day to achieve success. Ask the following question every morning, then follow through with the answer: ‘What 3 actions do I need to do today that will lead me quickly and easily to my goals in a way that is for the highest good of all’. If you ask the right questions the brain will give the right answers. Alll you need to do is listen and then act on them.
EFT setup statement: “Even though I may not have known what I needed to know to achieve my dreams and have avoided asking, I love and accept myself with the confidence and certainty that all the information is there when I look, ask and listen.”
Affirmation: “I am now asking the right questions and noticing the right answers to accomplish all my goals and dreams.”
1) Contemplate the quote of the day. Try to integrate its wisdom into every thing you do throughout the day.
2) Spend between 5-10 minutes tapping on the EFT setup statement. Create reminder phrases that best suit your own words and feelings around this.
3) Repeat the affirmation at least 28 times, more often if possible. You may like to tap whilst doing this as any internal objections to the affirmation can be cleared with EFT.
4) Make a point to start studying whatever it is you need to learn to complete your goals. Try to set aside 30 minutes or an hour a day for research and reading.
5) Outsource that which you cannot, or do not wish to, do yourself.
6) Ask the question ‘What 3 actions do I need to do today that will lead me quickly and easily to my goals in a way that is for the highest good of all’, each day, and follow through with the answers.
Wishing you every success
